I find flying fish fascinating! Like many sea creatures, they captivate me. The flying fish symbolizes Barbados but is also found in oceans worldwide. They are capable of executing strong, self-propelled jumps from the water into the air, where their long, wing-like fins allow them to glide over significant distances above the ocean's surface. Between 1900 and the 1930s, researchers studied flying fish as potential models for airplane design. I just think they're amazing! This piece is another of my 'freestanding' artworks and can be situated almost anywhere you prefer. If you’re interested, I can also create larger versions for bigger installations.
